Sage Stallone, son of actor Sylvester, found dead in LA

The 36-year-old son of Sylvester Stallone was found dead Friday, leaving the actor grief-stricken, his publicist said.
Authorities were investigating Sage Stallone's death, but details were not immediately available.
"Sylvester Stallone is devastated and grief-stricken over the sudden loss of his son," publicist Michelle Bega said in a statement. "His compassion and thoughts are with Sage's mother, Sasha."
Los Angeles police said they were dispatched to investigate a death at a home on Mulholland Terrace around 2:15 p.m. but could not confirm the person's identity or offer details.
Coroner's officials also said they were in the initial investigative stages.
"Sage was a very talented and wonderful young man, his loss will be felt forever," Bega said.
George Braunstein, an attorney who has represented Sage Stallone for 15 years, said a housekeeper found his body Friday afternoon. Friends and acquaintances had become concerned because they hadn't heard from Stallone in the past day, Braunstein said.
Sage Moonblood Stallone was the oldest of Sylvester Stallone's children and co-starred with his father in two films. He was the first of two sons Stallone had with first wife Sasha Czack.
Sage Stallone made his acting debut in 1990's "Rocky V" and also appeared with his father in 1996's "Daylight."
Also in 1996, Sage Stallone and veteran film editor Bob Murawski co-founded Grindhouse Releasing, a company dedicated to preserving and promoting the B-movies and exploitation films of the 1970s and 80s.
"He was very respectful of all the actors in all the movies," Braunstein said. "You couldn't mention a movie that he didn't know everything about."
Sage Stallone also directed the 2006 short "Vic," which screened at the Palm Springs Film Festival.
Braunstein said Stallone was planning on getting married for the first time, and had frequent requests to work on films.
"He was a full of life filmmaker with his whole future ahead of him," Braunstein said. "He was just very up and enthusiastic and positive.
"I think it was probably some sort of accident," he said of the death.
Braunstein said Sage Stallone greatly admired his father but was working hard to make his own name in the film industry.

ESPY Winners: Jeremy Lin, Tim Tebow And LeBron James Win At 2012 ESPYS Awards

James won a leading three individual trophies, including male athlete of the year, and shared in another at the 20th annual show celebrating the year's best athletes and moments in sports.

He wasn't on hand to accept because he was in Las Vegas with the rest of the U.S. national team preparing for the upcoming London Olympics.

James outpolled tennis player Novak Djokovic, Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in fan voting for male athlete honors. He also won in the championship performance and NBA player categories, while sharing in the best team award, with Juwan Howard and Mike Miller accepting for the Heat.

"He's had a magnifying glass on him since he was 17 years old and I think he's handled himself really, really well," Miller said of James backstage. "Unbelievable teammate, unbelievable father, so those are the most important things. He's just a likeable guy. He's a great basketball player to boot."

Baylor basketball star Brittney Griner won two trophies, including female athlete of the year in which she beat out French Open champion Maria Sharapova, skier Lindsay Vonn and soccer player Abby Wambach.

Quarterback Robert Griffin III, who like Griner starred at Baylor, won male college athlete honors. Griner took female college athlete honors for leading the Lady Bears to a 40-0 record and the NCAA championship.

Union vs Kansas City, 2-0 Match Video Highlights

Kansas City, 2-0, Wednesday night at PPL Park in Chester, ending Philadelphia's bid to win the U.S. Open Cup.

The downright ugly Cup semifinal matchup was the fifth game in 16 days for the newly revived Union. Under the guidance of interim team manager John Hackworth, the Union (5-10-2) had won four of their five previous games.

There were six total yellow cards and 36 fouls in the game, as referee Jorge Gonzalez became a target for the loud, rowdy crowd of 8,486, who consistently showed their disgust for the officiating.

"It's completely baffling, that's all I can say," an upset Hackworth said after the game. "I don't know how a player or a coach can stay and play their game, manage what they have to manage, when that kind of stuff happens."

The Union got to the semifinal by winning their first Open Cup match in late May, defeating the Rochester Rhinos at home, 3-0, then going on to beat D.C. United, 2-1, and the Harrisburg City Islanders, 5-2, in the next two rounds.

Sporting Kansas City (11-5-3), the first-place team in MLS's Eastern Conference, had lost to the ninth-place Union, 4-0, at PPL Park on June 23.

"I think beating them 4-0 last game didn't really do us any good," forward Jack McInerney said. "We knew they were going to come here and play physical and look for fouls. There were a couple of scuffles here and there, but we needed to keep our composure."

A sloppy first half saw a lot of bad touches and physical play without many scoring opportunities. Each team had eight fouls apiece in the first 45 minutes of play.

"They disrupted us a little bit," Freddy Adu said. "When they got physical, when they hit us, and when they get away with some other stuff, it makes it a little bit difficult."

For the second straight game McInerney provided the best offensive chances for the Union. Michael Farfan's free kick into the box for a McInerney's header in the 31st minute was the Union's most dangerous scoring opportunity in the first half. The header was on target but just high, up and over the crossbar. In the 38th minute, McInerney sent a low blast wide of the net.

In the first half, Sporting Kansas City had two corner kicks and several free kicks just outside the 18, including five total shots. At the half, the game remained scoreless.

Amobi Okugo had a solid defensive game again for the Union, constantly clearing the ball and breaking up passes.

Antoine Hoppenot, who has been a spark plug off the bench for the Union in recent games, entered for Lionard Pajoy in the 64th minute. While he had several close chances, Hoppenot could not put one away.

In the 65th minute, Graham Zusi sent a free kick into the box and Jacob Peterson got a head on it, sending the ball into the top right corner of the net. The ball deflected off goalkeeper Zac MacMath's hands and into the back of the net.

"It just snuck in there, that's all," MacMath said of the goal.

"I know I can save that ball and I should save that ball."

Adu had a chance for an equalizer in the 89th minute after controlling the ball in the box, but he sent his shot sailing over the net.

Zusi put the game away for Sporting in stoppage time when a long blast from midfield went past MacMath, who had been playing up, about 40 yards off his line.

Kansas City advances to final against the winner of Wednesday's Seattle Sounders-Chivas USA game, which ended too late for this edition.

Robert Blake to Piers Morgan: 'Nobody Tells Me I'ma Liar'

Blake was arrested in 2002, almost a year after the murder of his wife Bonnie Lee Bakley—a charge for which he was acquitted of in 2005. When Morgan said he wasn’t sure if the actor was telling the truth about the events surrounding her death, Blake and the host had a fiery exchange:

“Well, tell me where I'm lying, because if you don't know I'm telling you the truth, then you must have a little scratch in the back of your head about where I'm lying,” Blake shouted. “Tell me where I’m lying.”

“I’m not saying you’re lying,” Morgan told him, but was unable to placate the irate entertainer.

“You said I might not be telling the truth. What the hell is the difference?” Blake roared back. He eventually calmed down, citing his “thin skin” as the reason for his seemingly hysterical response.

“I've never allowed anybody to ask me the questions that you're asking,” Blake told him sullenly. “I allowed you to do that because I trust you. And I would have assumed that you and that guy in your ear would trust me. And if you don't, then we'd better start talking about 'The Little Rascals.'"

This snippet of their long conversation is just the tip of the iceberg. For more tune into "Piers Morgan Tonight" at 9:00 p.m.

UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen Fight Video Result

The most anticipated rematch in UFC history took less then seven minutes to play out.

In a bout two years in the making, Anderson Silva pounced on a mistake made by his most heated rival, Chael Sonnen, and quickly finished the bout. Silva, who has been UFC middleweight champion for nearly six years, retained his title via TKO at 1:55 of the second round in the main event of UFC 148.
In their first bout in the summer of 2010 at UFC 117 in Oakland, Sonnen dominated Silva for four-and-a-half rounds before Silva scored a stunning submission victory, the first time in UFC history a fighter won the first four rounds and then lost in the fifth.

It seemed like more of the same in round one at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, as Sonnen, a former collegiate wrestler from West Linn, Ore., instantly scored a takedown on Silva and spent the entire round working him over from top position.

In the second round, though, Sonnen went for a spinning back elbow, a rarely used, flashy move, and missed wildly, landing on the canvas. Silva responded with a knee to the body and several right hands before referee Yves Levigne stopped the fight.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this sport is the best sport in the world," said Silva. "Me and Chael work hard for all the people here. Chael disrespected my country, but that's fine. That is nothing for me. This is a sport, this is UFC. Yeah."

With the win, Silva added to several UFC records, including consecutive wins (15) and successful title defenses (10).

Earlier in the evening on the same fight card, former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz let it all hang out in the final fight of his career.

But the man who helped put the modern-day UFC on the map came up short, losing the third fight of his trilogy with fellow former champion Forrest Griffin.

Ortiz (16-11-1), who was champion from 2000-03, had his moments in the bout and decisively won the third round, but the judges scored the bout 29-28 across the board for Griffin.

In a bizarre post fight scene, Griffin, thinking he had lost, fled the Octagon, and had to be forced to return to the cage. The crowd booed Griffin lustily after being announced as the winner.

Ortiz, of Huntington Beach, Calif., reiterated after the bout that he was done."I gave it my all," Ortiz told Griffin. "I gave it my all. This is my last fight tonight. I've been doing this for 15 years, man."

Ortiz won their first bout in 2006 via split decision; Griffin took a split decision in a 2009 rematch.

Veteran Cung Le (10-2) won for the first time in the UFC by taking a unanimous decision in a slugfest against Quebec City's Patrick Cote (17-8). The 40-year old former kickboxing champion from San Jose used his arsenal of kicks to by and large keep Cote, a classic power puncher, off balance and out of range. All three judges gave Le the bout on 30-27 scores.

Yohan Blake beats Usain Bolt in 100m - Video

The Fastest Man in the World wasn't the fastest man in Jamaica.
That honour goes to Yohan Blake, who got out of the blocks fast and finished the 100-meter final in 9.75 seconds to upset world-record holder Usain Bolt by 0.11 seconds in the Jamaican Olympic trials.
A shocker? Well, that's for the world to decide. One thing for sure, however, is that the calculus for the London Olympics has changed dramatically.
Blake is the reigning world champion but that victory, last year in South Korea, came with an asterisk because Bolt didn't run that night after being disqualified for a false start. This was their first rematch, their first real race since then. Bolt was considered the favourite, not only because of his world record - 9.58 seconds - but because Blake, his training partner had never run below 9.84 in his life.

Well, now, he has.
The 9.75 seconds goes down as the best time this year and also breaks the four-year-old National Stadium record; both marks were 9.76 - both held by Bolt.
As much as the numbers, though, it was all that daylight between Blake and Bolt at the finish line that told this story. Blake, the man known as "The Beast," let out a primal scream when he crossed. Bolt just sort of pulled up - no "To the World" pose or anything else to celebrate.
Asafa Powell will join them at the Olympics, after finishing in 9.88. In the women's 100, defending Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce won in a Jamaican record 10.70 seconds, with Veronica Campbell-Brown in second and Kerron Stewart in third.

Ann Curry Announces 'Today' Departure (VIDEO)

After 15 years on the show, Curry was given a brief four minutes and twenty-three seconds to say goodbye to her audience.

"This is not easy to say but today is going to be my last morning as a regular co-host of 'Today,'" Curry said. "I will still be part of the 'Today' show family but I will have a new title and a new role. And this is not how I ever expected to leave this couch after fifteen years. But I am so grateful, especially to all of you who watch." Curry called viewers the "real 'Today' show family," saying, "I have loved you and I've wanted to show you the world."

Speaking of the network, Curry briefly described her new role as a national and international correspondent. "They are giving me some fancy new titles...we're going to go all over the world and all over this country...We're going to do great work I hope, and be given a chance to do great work, and these stories are going to air on all the platforms of NBC News."

"For all of you who saw me as a groundbreaker, I'm sorry I couldn't get the ball over the finish line, but man, I did try," she added.

Co-host Matt Lauer told Curry she has the "biggest heart in the news business," and he, Al Roker and Natalie Morales each shared a memorable moment from her career. Then, she was gone, and the show moved swiftly along.

While the network has not yet announced a replacement, Savannah Guthrie, who co-hosts the 9:00 a.m. hour on "Today," has reportedly been offered the job. Guthrie was conspicuously absent from Curry's departure.
Curry's exit came about one week after news broke that NBC News executives were planning to replace her. Early Thursday morning, Curry told USA Today that she was planning on announcing her departure on Thursday.

"Today" executive producer Jim Bell released a statement saying, "I know of only one journalist who in just a matter of years has travelled to Sudan six times, broken exclusive world news with top world leaders, and broadcast live from both the South Pole and Mount Kilimanjaro. Ann has quite literally reached amazing heights in her career, and with this new role, she will continue her intrepid climb bringing viewers her signature brand of humanitarian reporting."

Video: Raul Mondesi Forgets to Touch Home Plate After Home Run, Loses

There is never a good way to lose a baseball game, but what happened to Raul Mondesi Jr. this past Monday night is absolutely heart-wrenching.

In the bottom of the 10th inning of a Pioneer League showdown between the Missoula Osprey and Helena Brewers, Mondesi appeared to hit what looked to be a game-tying homerun. Had it counted, the score would have been 2-2 and the outing would have proceeded until a winner was decided.

Problem was, it didn’t count.

After Mondesi made his rounds and seemingly crossed home plate, he returned to the dugout, figuring that everything was okay. It wasn’t.

As it turns out, Mondesi had never actually crossed home.

Realizing this, Dexter Price threw the ball to his catcher, Michael Perez, who stepped on home for an appeal. The umpire, also apparently having seen that Mondesi didn’t cross home, ruled the hitter out.

Ryan Lochte Beats Michael Phelps At U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials

Ryan Lochte won his latest showdown with the winningest Olympian ever, beating Phelps for the first time in the 400-meter individual medley at the U.S. swimming trials Monday night.

In taking the first spot on the Olympic team, Lochte extended his dominance of Phelps that goes back to last year's world championships, where the 27-year-old Floridian won five gold medals and both head-to-head races against Phelps.

"The first race is always the hardest," Lochte said. "I can take a deep breath now, relax and whatever happens, happens."

Phelps started strong on the butterfly leg, his best stroke, but Lochte took command when they switched to the breaststroke. He built a lead of about a half-body length and held off Phelps in the freestyle finish, cruising to the wall with one arm extended to post a time of 4 minutes, 7.06 seconds.

He got a kiss from his dad, Steve, as he came off the deck and a huge cheer from the crowd of more than 11,000 – including a group behind the starting block that waved "Ryan" signs and giant cardboard cutouts of his face.

Phelps claimed the second Olympic spot in 4:07.89, setting himself up for another eight-event program in London – something he insisted he wouldn't do again after the Beijing Games.

Youkilis Curtain Call Last At Bat (Video)

The Chicago White Sox acquired Youkilis on Sunday in a trade with Boston in exchange for another utilityman Brent Lillibridge and right-hander Zach Stewart. But the three-time All-Star didn't pack his bags before getting an emotional farewell from Red Sox fans who cheered him for eight seasons.

After being held out of the lineup for the previous four games by manager Bobby Valentine, Youkilis started against the visiting Atlanta Braves on Sunday. The 33-year-old got a standing ovation before his first at-bat, in which he reached on an infield single to the pitcher. In his last at-bat in a Red Sox uniform, Youkilis legged out a triple. He was then taken out of the game for Nick Punto and was given an even bigger standing ovation.

UFC 147 results recap: Rich Franklin vs Wanderlei Silva 2 fight

Two veteran legends of mixed martial arts rematched last night (June 23, 2012) as Rich Franklin moved his rehab up a couple weeks to take on Wanderlei Silva in the main event of UFC 147 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Taking place at a 190 pound catchweight, Franklin fought a very intelligent gameplan which allowed him to technically pick Silva apart over the course of the five round main event.

But that doesn't mean Silva didn't get his licks in as "The Axe Murderer" nearly put Franklin away with some extremely aggressive striking in the end of the second round.

In the end, however, Franklin was just too technical and too composed to be beaten. So what specific smart strategy put "Ace" over the top? And what happens next for both men?

Follow me after the jump for our Rich Franklin vs. Wanderlei Silva UFC 147 post-fight review and analysis:

Silva was surprisingly cautious to get things started, fighting very defensively and allowing Franklin to set the tone for the bout. "Ace" utilized his footwork to repeatedly back the former Pride champion into the fence but, like a cornered wild animal, Silva would lash out with big hooks to back Franklin off whenever he was trapped.

The second round appeared like it would be more of the same as Franklin continued to circle right, away from Silva's power hand but "The Axe Murderer" had different ideas. About halfway through the round, Silva scored a nice right hand which gave him confidence. After connecting, Silva lunged forward and aggressively began swinging heavily. A massive right hand dropped Franklin and for the next 30 seconds, Silva threw caution to the wind and dropped big ground and pound shots in an effort to finish the bout, but Franklin would survive until the horn at the end of the round.

Perhaps tired from his fight-finishing attempt, Silva barely showed up in both rounds three and four. Franklin was able to fully recover and get back into his groove of circling and utilizing both his straight right jab and his right hook. When he found an opening, Franklin would also occasionally flash his power left hand and even a head kick.

One of Franklin's most surprising attacks was a takedown at the end of the third round where he postured up and dropped some very nice punches and elbows on the Brazilian.

Silva didn't show any signs of life until about 90 seconds remaining in the five round fight where he began "hulking up" and started aggressively moving forwards and throwing big punches. He landed a few nice shots on Franklin but "Ace" continued to brilliantly maneuver his foot by circling away from Silva's powerful right hand and he always had a response for Silva's attacks. With the crowd going wild, both men threw caution to the wind in the final 10 seconds and Franklin put a cap on the evening by dropping Silva with his final punch right before the bell.

In the end, Silva only was able to win the second round as Franklin was awarded a 49-46 clean sweep across the board.

For Wanderlei Silva, despite the loss, this fight proved that he's still got quite a bit of fight left in him. He was moments away from scoring a big stoppage in the second round and that may have been what ended up costing him the fight as he took nearly two and a half rounds to recover from that giant burst of frenetic energy. He was extremely active at the end of the fight, but I wonder if he had enough gas to kick it up a notch a bit earlier than that too.

Silva can still bring it so I expect him to definitely get another fight. Potential options include a rematch against Michael Bisping, the loser of the upcoming Tim Boetsch vs. Hector Lombard fight or perhaps Chris Weidman should he lose to Mark Munoz in a few weeks.

For Rich Franklin, this was a very solid performance especially considering all the circumstances that were piling up against him. He didn't look like he'd been away from the Octagon for 17 months and he sure as hell didn't let the hostile crowd get to him. In fact, he even received respectful cheers from the Brazilian faithful once the bout was complete (and addressed them in Portuguese which had to be a plus). Franklin's footwork was amazing in this fight. He was constantly circling away from Silva's powerful right hand, but on top of that, he was always poised and prepared to dive in with a nice counter or a lead jab/right hook. Besides the second round where he got caught, Franklin looked really sharp last night.

Victor Ortiz vs Josesito Lopez Full Fight Video

Randy Caballero (R) lands a right hand to the body of Jamal Parram during their Junior Featherweight fight at Staples Center on June 23, 2012 in Los Angeles, California.

LOS ANGELES-After a slow start Riverside's Josesito Lopez came rumbling back to beat former world champion Victor “Vicious” Ortiz by technical knockout after the Ventura boxer suffered a broken jaw on Saturday.

Those Lopez uppercuts were vicious.

Round 1

There's an obvious size disparity between these guys. Ortiz looks like a tank. Cautious opening instead of the all out assault from Ortiz some were expecting. Ortiz tries to double the left hand. Both men jab as they continue the feeling out process. Ortiz lands a left and a right. He goes to the body before Lopez fires back with a combination upstairs. Ortiz tries to take the fight to the ropes, but Lopez backs him up with a right hook. Lopez strafes Ortiz with a combo right at the bell.

Tylwalk: 10-9 Lopez

Round 2

Lopez lands another left hook early, and Ortiz tries to shake it off by throwing a bunch of punches. Ortiz doubles the jab to good effect. Lopez lands a right hand and uses two lefts to the body to follow up. Ortiz connects with a left-right combo and Lopez is hurt. He manages to push Ortiz against the turnbuckle to buy himself some time. Both men land some shots before they tie up. Lopez lands his own big right hand and now Ortiz may be stunned. Good stuff here as Ortiz tries to catch his breath.

Tylwalk: 10-9 Ortiz

Round 3

Both boxers land stiff shots in the opening seconds. Certainly a great action fight so far. Lopez lands a crazy right hook followed by a left. Another right hook gets through before Ortiz ties him up. Victor comes right back at him, though only for a moment. His left hand still looks very dangerous. Lopez tries a looping right hand that grazes Ortiz, who was trying a combo.

Tylwalk: 10-9 Lopez

Round 4

Otiz turns boxer as he lands several jabs. He corners Lopez for a moment, trying to land some uppercuts. Body punches from Lopez get him some room. Ortiz rushes in for two left hands before getting tied up. Right hook by Ortiz as he seems to be finding a better rhythm. Ortiz puts his head down and bulls his way in. Lopez reaches and misses a few right hands. Now he lands some punches in a combination, though Ortiz dodged well.

Tylwalk: 10-9 Ortiz

Round 5

This time it's Lopez who comes out jabbing. Ortiz snaps his jab in response. Hard hooks are exchanged along the ropes with Lopez scrambling not to get pinned down. Lopez lands a right that seems to stun Ortiz and a hook, but Lopez gets nailed right back. Ortiz lands a shot to the back of Lopez's head and the fight is stopped for a moment. The ref checks with Lopez as the crowd boos. Lopez gets time to recover, but not five minutes. Lopez returns to action and rips some hooks at Ortiz. Victor comes back with mean hooks of his own. Lopez pushes him back into the middle of the ring. Lopez swings wildly and manages to sneak in one right hand there. Ortiz lands some short punches. Tough round to score because of the delay.

Tylwalk: 10-9 Ortiz

Round 6

Ortiz connects with some quick shots as they circle in the middle of the ring. Lopez unleashes some hooks and uppercuts, answered by a hook from Ortiz. Lopez slips down, then eats an uppercut from Ortiz. Victor hooks his way out of a clinch. A brief lull is broken by Ortiz slipping to the mat. He goes to the body as Lopez is backed into the ropes again. Left hook by Lopez in the final 10 seconds.

Tylwalk: 10-9 Ortiz

Round 7

Left hand by Ortiz, then some body work by both men. Lopez misses a wild left hook and almost gets himself in trouble along the ropes. Ortiz uppercuts as Lopez tries to counter. Lopez scores with three straight punches but Ortiz shrugs them off and connects with a straighr right. Both men land bombs, with Ortiz's looking like it hit harder. Lopez bravely waves Ortiz in, then lands a two-punch combo. Ortiz gets chased back by three straight punches, trying to set up his straight left. Ortiz doing lots of circling now.

Tylwalk: 10-9 Lopez

Round 8

Right hand by Lopez, and he tries the body too. Ortiz gets tied up as he tries to close the range. Right hook by Ortiz. He walks into a jab trying a left. Jabs and a hook fly from Ortiz. Ortiz lands a left but takes an uppercut counter. Victor lands some nasty lefts that force Lopez to back up. Lopez uses his uppercut again with his back on the ropes. Four-punch combo by Lopez is answered by Ortiz's hooks. Ortiz lets more shots go with both hands. Another tight frame.

Tylwalk: 10-9 Ortiz

Round 9

Left hook by Lopez, but it's not a strong one. Uppercut also finds the range as Victor moves in. Ortiz jabs to set up the left. He hooks with the right but is chased off by body shots. Straight left by Ortiz and a left hook by Lopez. Here comes a flurry from Ortiz, as this round is there to be won. Victor dodges some fire to get off the left. They swing away at close range, and Lopez wants Ortiz to come in again. Wild shots mostly miss as the bell sounds.

Tylwalk: 10-9 Ortiz

Ortiz is not coming out for the 10th round. Johnson is beside himself as Lopez gets himself the upset stoppage!

The winner by TKO at the end of Round 10, Josesito Lopez.

WATCH: Bullies Apologize For Taunting Bus Monitor

Earlier this week a video depicting Greece, N.Y. school bus monitor Karen Klein being maliciously verbally abused by the students she was watching over went viral, sparking national outrage and leading to a campaign on website Indiegogo.com to buy the district staff member a dream vacation.

As of Thursday evening, the donations amount to almost $400,000. While Klein has described the incident in several interviews, the boy's testimony still remained to be heard -- until Anderson Cooper read two of their official statements on CNN's "Anderson 360."

"I feel really bad about what I did," Wesley, one of the boys in the video, said in a statement issued to the show by police. "I wish I had never done those things. If that had happened to someone in my family, like my mother or grandmother, I would be really mad at the people who did that to them."

"I am so sorry for the way I treated you," Josh, another one of the boys, said in a statement. "When I saw the video I was disgusted and could not believe I did that. I am sorry for being so mean and I will never treat anyone this way again."

When asked if she thought the boys were bad kids, Klein responded in a surprising way.

"Not really, not deep down," she told Anderson Cooper.

Things continue to look up for the grandmother of eight, as Cooper announced Southwest airlines offered to fly her and nine other people to Disneyland for free.

NBA Finals 2012: Miami Heat vs Oklahoma City Thunder Match Highlights

LeBron James did his best Paul Pierce impression by fighting through late-game cramps to help power the Miami Heat to a 104-98 victory over Oklahoma City on Tuesday night. The win put the Heat one win away from a series victory and moved James one step closer to his first NBA title. It wasn’t quite Willis Reed, but for a player who has dealt with endless scrutiny for his late game failures over the years, James’ clutch three-pointer that gave the Heat the lead with 2 minutes, 34 seconds left could prove to be one of the biggest shots of his career. As Michael Lee reported:

LeBron James grimaced and groaned, unable to play and unable to sit on the bench because of a throbbing pain in his right leg. James had been such an impactful force against the Oklahoma City Thunder, given so much of himself that he was too exhausted to finish. With the win within his grasp, James was forced to be a spectator for the final, unsettling 55.5 seconds of Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
With Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant leading a furious charge, the Miami Heat was placed in a difficult position to hold on. But after letting James carry the team for most of the night — with his dominant presence inside and impeccable passing — the Heat lifted James to the finish with a gritty 104-98 victory that put the three-time league’s most valuable player within one victory of hoisting that elusive Larry O’Brien trophy.

“It’s a big-time team win, and we needed every point. We needed every rebound and everything that everyone had to get it,” said James, who has worn a mouth piece with XVI — the Roman numeral for 16 — to symbolize the number of postseason victories required to win a title. “If we come out with the mind-set that we’ve come out with during the playoffs, we’re going to give ourselves a good chance to win.”

Mario Chalmers matched a playoff career high with 25 points, including the final five points — a driving underhanded layup and three free throws — as Miami took a three-games-to-one lead over the Thunder. The Heat, a team built through free agency wizardry and James’s controversial defection from Cleveland, is close to capturing the first of the many titles James predicted during a smoke and laser introduction two years ago — and completing the exorcism of a disappointing loss to the Dallas Mavericks that lingered with them for more than a year.

(Video) Joel Peralta ejected for having pine tar on his glove

Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Joel Peralta was ejected from Tuesday night's game against the Washington Nationals before he even threw a pitch, as umpires found a significant amount of pine tar on his glove.

On a tip from Washington Nationals manager Davey Johnson, umpires investigated Peralta's glove when he came into the game in the top of the eighth inning. They obviously didn't like what they found, as one of the umpires walked off with Peralta's glove and Jake McGee came into the game to replace Peralta.

Webb Simpson Wins U.S. Open 2012 At Olympic Club

Webb Simpson won the U.S. Open and put two more names into the graveyard of champions.

Overlooked for so much of the week, Simpson emerged on a fog-filled Sunday at The Olympic Club with four birdies around the turn and a tough chip out of a hole to the right of the 18th green that he converted into par for a 2-under 68.

He finished at 1-over 281, and it was enough to outlast former U.S. Open champions Jim Furyk and Graeme McDowell.

Furyk bogeyed two of his last three holes. McDowell had a 25-foot birdie on the 18th to force a playoff, but it never had a chance.

"Oh, wow," Simpson said, watching from the locker room.

Olympic is known as the "graveyard of champions" because proven major winners who were poised to win the U.S. Open have always lost to the underdog. One of those was Arnold Palmer in 1966, when he lost a seven-shot lead on the back nine.

Perhaps it was only fitting that the 25-year-old Simpson went to Wake Forest on an Arnold Palmer scholarship.

"Arnold has been so good to me," Simpson said. "Just the other day, I read that story and thought about it. He's meant so much to me and Wake Forest. Hopefully, I can get a little back for him and make him smile."

No one was beaming like Simpson, who followed a breakthrough year on the PGA Tour with his first major.

Nick Wallenda Walks Across Niagara Falls

The man walks into the record books.
Nik Wallenda fulfilled his lifelong dream to cross the Niagara Falls atop a tightrope, suspended 60 metres above the raging waters below.

He became the first man in more than a century to cross the gorge on a high wire, and singlehandedly brought the Wallenda name back into the public consciousness.

A crowd of thousands, one of the largest ever seen in Niagara Falls, gathered on both the American and Canadian sides of the gorge.

Mr. Wallenda appeared calm and steady as he walked slowly through the swirling mist during the first leg of the wire walk.

"It's a beautiful view... A dream in the making," he said, speaking via his headset in an interview mid-walk, and broadcast on CTV. "This is what dreams are made of."

However, he said that the turbulent waters below made it difficult for him to see the tightrope sway.

"Water actually becomes a challenge because i can't prepare for [the wire] as it moves. But so far so good."

When asked about the harness -- which he was required to wear by ABC, who is broadcasting his daredevil feat -- that tethers him to the tightrope, he said: "I feel like a jackoff, er, jackass wearing it."

For most of the spectators grasping binoculars, taking photos and manning a sea of lawn chairs lining the lawns of the park, it was a chance to see what many described as a "once in a lifetime opportunity."

"I want to see history being made, the Wallenda name being brought back to the forefront," said a Toronto man in a lawn chair, smoking a cigar.

In a city renowned for its tackiness, the massive crowd lining the Canadian side for the event was surprisingly wholesome: Indian grandmothers dressed in saris, young mothers pushing strollers and Mennonite families, all earnestly hoping to see the 33-year-old daredevil succeed.

Parents Brawl At Preschool Graduation (Video)

A recent preschool graduation ceremony in South Los Angeles, Calif. ended in a brawl among school mothers, and it was all caught on camera.

The video of the fight, which first surfaced at EAGnews.org, shows several women brawling in a school classroom. In the background, children can be heard screaming with terror, and one adult shouts, "Get the kids out! Get the kids out!"

According to the parent who shot the video at Weemes Elementary School in Los Angeles:

"This all started because my son's teacher was so unorganized. Basically because of budget issues all the kids had to share a cap and gown for pictures. One of the moms in the video was basically taking over and the other one didn't like it and told her something about it. The sad part was that there was an older lady that got pushed and she actually hit her head on a bookshelf and I rushed to help her but when this other mom rush to help us the angry women actually attacked the other mom."

[Real Video] Chris Brown, Drake Fight At NYC Nightclub Over Rihanna

Chris Brown injured & sustained a nasty gash on his chin
The aftermath of the New York City nightclub brawl

GossipCop shows that Brown's bodyguard, Big Pat, was badly injured at the scene. A total of five people were injured at the scene, according to the NYPD, who arrived after receiving a call between 4am and 5am; police are currently investigating the incident though no arrests have been made. Both Drake and Brown had left the club by the time police arrived. Brown took to his Twitter page to post a photo of the laceration on his chin (which he indicated came from a bottle) and revealing messages, like "How u party wit rich n**** that hate? Lol... Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya!" and "Ok! N****s stand behind security! Ok! U don't pay them enough."

Brown has since deleted the messages on his Twitter page, including the photo of his injury, but you can view a screenshot of both here.

Meanwhile, rumors of a Brown-Rihanna rekindling have been reported in the press, primarily by TMZ, which spotted the former couple partying together at New York nightclub Avenue earlier this week. And in early June, Rihanna slammed a journalist from British Esquire for probing into the nature of her relationship with Brown. "If I went back to him [as a girlfriend], then that’s a whole different discussion ... I think a lot of people jumped to an assumption that was incorrect and they ended up looking stupid," she said. "This is turning into a tacky interview."

Miami Heat vs. Oklahoma City Thunder LIVE SCORE Updates

he Miami Heat and Oklahoma City Thunder arrived at Game 1 of the 2012 NBA Finals by different roads. But each team's trip was fueled by the talents of a core of superstars. LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh were united in South Beach by way of free-agent dealings and public courtships while the Thunder core of Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden's beard was constructed behind closed doors and on NBA Draft nights.

Despite origin stories as different as Superman and Spiderman, these two teams are set to open a superstar showdown in Game 1 in Oklahoma City.

Watch video : Rafael Nadal Wins French Open, Defeating Novak Djokovic

The match ended on Djokovic's double-fault, a fittingly awkward conclusion to a final that had plenty of stops and starts, including a brief delay during the fourth set Monday while – what else? – a rain shower passed over the stadium.

It was a 3 hour, 50 minute match spread over two days filled with momentum swings, outbursts, testy exchanges with the officials and then, finally, a familiar closing act: Nadal, the second-seeded Spaniard, down on his knees, celebrating a title at a place that feels like home.

"I suffered," Nadal said, "but I enjoyed."

Wrapping up the match a few minutes after the brief rain shower ended, Nadal broke the record he shared with Bjorn Borg, improved to 52-1 at the French Open and beat the man who had defeated him in the last three Grand Slam finals.

"I don't know if I am the best or not," Nadal said. " I am not the right one to say that. The only thing is, I have probably one of the best results ever, probably in this kind of surface, and for me (that) is great."

After serving his fourth double-fault of the match, the top-seeded Djokovic dropped his head, slumped his shoulders and walked slowly toward the net – a two-day adventure complete, and not with the result he wanted.

Watch MMV Awards 2012 Live I Full Highlight HD Video Performance

Watch for performances from Justin Bieber, Nelly Furtado, Flo Rida, Katy Perry, Carly Rae Jepsen, Kelly Clarkson, LMFAO, Hedley, Ed Sheeran and Marianas Trench.

Video streaming by Ustream

The 2012 MuchMusic Awards have now officially started, and this article is reserved for one thing and one thing only — the big winners. (Be sure to head over to this link to check out the highlights from the red carpet pre-show.)
The first batch of awards was announced before the show began.
Most-Streamed Video – Carly Rae Jepsen, “Call Me Maybe”
Director of the Year – Danny Fernandez f. Josh Ramsay & Belly, “Hit Me Up”
MuchLoud Rock Video of the Year – The Sheepdogs, “I Don’t Know”
A whole slew of smaller awards – Marianas Trench
Now, we turn to the awards actually handed out on the show:
International Video of the Year – Katy Perry, “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)”
International Video of the Year by a Canadian – Justin Bieber, “Boyfriend”
Best Dressed – Carly Rae Jepsen
International Video of the Year – LMFAO, “Sexy and I Know It”
Video of the Year – Carly Rae Jepsen, “Call Me Maybe”
Favorite Artist or Group – Justin Bieber
UR Fave Video of the Year – Carly Rae Jepsen, “Call Me Maybe”
UR Fave International Artist / Group – Katy Perry
Overall, this year’s show was a thrill to watch, and away from the winners there was one specific reason for this — hosting duo LMFAO, who brought a little bit of insanity (and inappropriate behavior) to the show that was in many ways infectious. We saw Rico Rodriguez from “Modern Family” do the shuffle, Katy Perry perform dressed as a butterfly in a skin-tone bodysuit, and Perez Hilton try to one up LMFAO by saying that Katy was his “good friend.” Justin Bieber closed out the show with a set that includes “All Around the World” along with his recent smash hit “Boyfriend.”

Madonna Singer Flashes Nipple At Istanbul Concert (Video)

Istanbul concert on Thursday night, the 53-year-old singer flashed a lot of skin, but she didn't have a wardrobe malfunction.

While performing her hit 1995 song "Human Nature" the singer began stripping off her clothes, first removing her white shirt, before she simply pulled down her bra to give the audience a good look at her right nipple.

Lady Gaga Injured During Concert

The show must go on, and no one knows this better than Lady Gaga. The singer reportedly suffered a head injury Sunday while performing a concert in Auckland, New Zealand.

Gaga was performing her song "Judas" when one of her dancers accidentally hit her with a prop pole. She grabbed her head for a moment, but in true Gaga fashion, didn't miss a beat and continued singing. According to GagaMedia.net, she later told the crowd she thought she may have a concussion but would keep performing.

Gaga isn't the only singer to recently get injured at a concert. Last month, Justin Bieber accidentally ran into a glass wall backstage at one of his shows in Paris and was knocked out for several seconds.

Fear Factor' Donkey Semen Stunt Airs On Danish Television (VIDEO) Posted: 06/09/2012 5:08 pm Updated: 06/09/2012 5:20 pm

t was deemed un-airable for American audiences, but the "Fear Factor" segment that featured contestants challenged to drink a glass of donkey semen and a glass of donkey urine recently aired on Danish television, reports TMZ.

The episode, "Hee Haw! Hee Haw!," was initially scheduled to air on Jan. 30, before NBC executives decided to pull it at the last moment.

It was a decision that likely didn't shock the show's host Joe Rogan, who hinted at the stunt, and the possibility that it may be too gross to air, in an interview with The Huffington Post in December 2011.

"The biggest example, I can't tell you unfortunately because they haven't even decided whether or not they're gonna air it. It's really that crazy," Rogan explained.

"I got there and they told me what we were gonna do, and I just started laughing like, 'There's no way. That's not really gonna happen. Wait, is that really gonna happen?' [Laughs] I wish I could tell you. NBC's still looking at the footage going, 'Uhhhh, can we do that?' There's gonna be a lot of people that are going to be upset -- it really is ridiculous."

The stunt, which involves a woman drinking a 24-ounce glass of donkey semen while her twin sister downs a glass of donkey urine, was somehow cool with Danish television execs, who chose to air the episode this week.

Union Rags Wins Belmont Stakes 2012 (VIDEO)

Saturday's Belmont Stakes, it was another photo finish decided by a neck. Just like the Preakness.

The 3-year-old bay colt barreled through a slim opening on the rail to edge Paynter, dealing Baffert, jockey Mike Smith and owner Ahmed Zayat a third loss in this year's Triple Crown series.

"We needed every bit of the mile and a half," winning trainer Michael Matz said.

I'll Have Another won the Kentucky Derby and Preakness with stirring stretch drives over Baffert's Bodemeister. But the champion stunned the racing world Friday when he was scratched from the Belmont and retired due to a tendon injury, relinquishing a shot at the first Triple Crown sweep since 1978 and only the 12th ever.

His absence opened up the race for Union Rags, who finished a troubled seventh in the Derby after a bumpy start.

Union Rags skipped the Preakness and because of the Derby problems switched jockeys for the Belmont – from Julien Leparoux to John Velazquez, who picked up his second Belmont victory; he won in 2007 with filly Rags to Riches.

"I have to give it to the horse. He did it all for me. He just worked so unbelievable and I was just hoping he could put that work into today's race and he did," said Velazquez, who will enter racing's Hall of Fame in August. "I was very proud of him.'"

A crowd of 85,811, cheered as Paynter and Union Rags furiously battled down the stretch, with Union Rags barely catching the front-runner in the second straight photo finish to decide a Triple Crown race this year.

Timothy Bradley def. Manny Pacquiao via split decision (115-113, 113-115, 115-113)

Manny Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley Live Results

Round 1: Early aggression from Bradley, who looked to be taking a quick lead. But Pacquiao came back to land some nice shots at the end of the round and probably steal it.

Round 2: Bradley was busier and looked to make it more of a wild fight, but Pacquiao kept it technical and again outboxed him.

Round 3: Pacquiao starting to really connect with that straight left, and Bradley isn't able to find an answer for it yet. Good round.

Round 4: The most dominant round yet as Pacquiao rocked Bradley with a flurry in the final minute. Pacquiao looking good here and really pulling away with it already.

Round 5: A bit of a slower round at first, but Pacquiao again turned up the heat in the final minute, connecting some heavy shots on Bradley.

Round 6: More of the same, as Pacquiao is firmly in control. Bradley needs to find his way into the fight somehow.

Round 7: Bradley trying to use more defensive movement here, but Pacquiao continues to outland him at will. At this point, it's hard to see Bradley having any rounds on the scorecards, meaning he needs a knockdown to win it.

Round 8: Less output from Pacquiao here, but he continues to score. Also, our first headbutt of the fight, though it didn't cause much damage either way.

Round 9: Another round to Pac. Bradley looks like he's slowing down and his hands are dropping in the exchanges. He's in danger of getting knocked down here.

Round 10: Not much from either man here. Is Pacquiao slowing down to coast to a decision?

Round 11: Decent work from Bradley at times here, but still some power shots from Pacquiao. KO or bust for Bradley in the final 3 minutes.

Round 12: Hats off to Bradley, who still brought it in round 12, trying to win the fight (and possibly taking the round), but it was too little too late.

Official Decision: Timothy Bradley def. Manny Pacquiao via split decision (115-113, 113-115, 115-113)

United States vs. Antigua and Barbuda World Cup qualifying Match Video Highlights

United States vs Antigua & Barbuda

US – Carlos Bocanegra – 8th minute

US – Clint Dempsey PK – 44th minute

Antigua & Barbuda – Peter Byers – 65th minute

US – Herculez Gomez – 72nd minute

Bocanegra put the Americans ahead in the eighth minute, tapping the ball into the net after goalkeeper Molvin James made a diving stop on Gomez's header off Landon Donovan's corner kick. With his 13th international goal, Bocanegra tied Marcelo Balboa's record for American defenders.

Dempsey's 26th goal came on a penalty kick in the 44th minute after Marvin McCoy upended Donovan streaking into the area.

Peter Byers scored in the 65th minute for 105th-ranked Antigua, a nation of about 88,000 that almost could fit its entire population in 65,000-seat Raymond James Stadium. Gomez restored a two-goal lead in the 72th after his initial shot and Michael Bradley's followup both were blocked.

It was a costly night for the No. 28 Americans, trying to qualify for their seventh straight World Cup. Third-choice left back Jose Torres was stretchered off after injuring his left ankle in the 54th. Bocanegra shifted to the left, and Oguchi Onyewu entered only to overcommit and allow Byers to come in alone on goalkeeper Tim Howard.

After going 6-5-2 in exhibitions since Jurgen Klinsmann replaced Bob Bradley as coach last July, the Americans played their first competitive match since blowing a two-goal lead and losing to Mexico 4-2 in the final of the CONCACAF Gold Cup last June 25.

Terrence Boyd, the 21-year-old son of an American serviceman and a German mother, entered in the 79th minute on a rainy night and now is tied the United States in international competition

There is little time to recover for the Americans, who play their second qualifier of the semifinal round on Tuesday at Guatemala. Two teams from the group, which also includes Jamaica, advance to next year's six-nation regional fianls, which will produce three qualifiers for the 2014 tournament in Brazil.

Torres, usually a possession-oriented midfielder, started at left back following injuries to Fabian Johnson and Edgar Castillo. Klinsmann left himself potentially short at the position by omitting Eric Lichaj from his 23-man training camp roster.

If Johnson can't return Tuesday from his calf injury, Bocanegra appears likely to start at left back in Guatemala.

Klinsmann started an offense-minded 4-3-3 formation, with Maurice Edu, Jermaine Jones and Bradley in the midfield, and Donovan, Dempsey and Gomez up front.

The U.S. failed to dominate possession and seemed to have heavy legs in the lategoing. While Antigua had few chances in the first half, Dexter Blackstock was in position to test Howard in the 38th minute only to have his shot blocked by center back Clarence Goodson. Antigua's players grabbed the sides of his head in disbelief.

LeBron James gets a drink dumped on him after Game 6 in Boston

LeBron James puts on a show and impressive performance as he put up 45 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 assists to save the Miami Heat from elimination against the Boston Celtics as they tie the series 3-3 in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

This was LeBron James best performance since his Cleveland days back in 2007 when he posted 51 points on the Detroit Pistons to help lead the Cavs to the Finals that year only to lose to the San Antonio Spurs final successful championship run in the Tim Duncan era.

Django Unchained - First Official Trailer [HD]

The first official trailer for Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained" was released online Wednesday.

The film stars Jamie Foxx as Django, a freed slave-turned-bounty hunter trying to rescue his wife (Kerry Washington) from a ruthless plantation owner (Leonardo DiCaprio).

Christoph Waltz ("Inglourious Basterds") plays Dr. King Schultz, the bounty hunter who frees Django and becomes his mentor.

When asked by Schultz how he likes the bounty hunting business, Django replies, "Kill white folks and get paid for it. What's not to like?"

Near the end of the trailer, Django explains to another character (and, likely, unsure viewers) how his name is pronounced - "The D is silent."

"This Christmas, Django is off the chain," a tagline reads.

The film opens in theaters on Christmas Day.

Phillies Closer Angry With Umpire After Loss To Dodgers (VIDEO)

Phillies closer Jonathan Papelbon's thoughts on the home plate umpire after the Phillies' 4-3 loss to the Dodgers Monday night.

Elian Herrera hit a tiebreaking RBI single off Papelbon in the ninth inning to lift the Los Angeles Dodgers over the Philadelphia Phillies 4-3 on Monday night.

Dee Gordon ripped a triple to right-center to start the ninth against Papelbon (0-2). Herrera followed with a grounder through the shortstop hole to put major league-leading Los Angeles ahead to stay.

Papelbon wasn't pleased with plate umpire D.J. Reyburn, who had a tough night. Reyburn tossed Dodgers bench coach Trey Hillman and manager Don Mattingly earlier in the game. Papelbon thought he struck out Gordon the pitch before allowing the triple. After the inning, he walked over to talk to Reyburn, who walked away without giving him a chance to say a word.

Good decision by Reyburn.

"I just wanted to ask him if he could throw me out for what I was thinking," Papelbon said. "He was terrible all night. He probably needs to go back to Triple-A. If you don't do your job, you get demoted or fired. It affected the outcome of the game."

Papelbon is 15 for 15 in save opportunities, but hasn't fared as well in non-save situations.

Placido Polanco hit a tying, two-run homer to help the Phillies rally from a 3-0 deficit against Clayton Kershaw, but it wasn't enough.

Kershaw, the reigning NL Cy Young Award winner, gave up three runs and eight hits in seven innings to remain winless in his last three starts.

MTV Movie Awards 2012 Live Highlights Video HD

The summer movie that needed the MTV Movie Awards the least got the biggest boost when the annual telecast aired live from the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday night.

The principals from "The Dark Knight Rises," a near-certain blockbuster when it hits U.S. theaters on July 20, made the franchise's first appearance at the cable network's annual movie-marketing bazaar.

Though the shrill show was something of an odd fit for the serious superhero film -- director Christopher Nolan intoned that "every great story demands a great ending" while star Christian Bale teared up over the death of Heath Ledger -- the presentation of new footage from the Batman picture scored hugely positive reactions in the room and on social media
The awards handed out by the cable network are generally seen as little more than a coronation of what's popular; indeed, "The Hunger Games" and "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2" were among the big winners Sunday. But the reaction to the many pitches, both at the show and during commercial breaks, can be a useful barometer for the coming months at the multiplex, while the pitches themselves are an important tool for movies seeking an edge in a crowded summer marketplace.

Besides "Dark Knight," the movie perhaps getting the biggest boost was "Magic Mike," the Channing Tatum-Matthew McConaughey exotic-dancer story that will be released June 29. The two stars garnered a huge reaction from the room when they turned out to present the award for "Best Transformation," with the decibel level only rising when costar Joe Manganiello came out and did a striptease in which he simulated a sex act with an ax.

Not every movie was so blessed.

A bit featuring Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg and Leighton Meester for their June 15 R-rated arrested-development comedy "That's My Boy" fell flat, raising questions about a movie that is already perceived as freighted with commercial challenges.

And though buzz is running high for "Ted," Seth MacFarlane's June 29 stuffed-animal comedy, stars Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis didn't do the movie any favors with an awkward segment near the top of the show.

Mentions or appearances from stars of "Prometheus," "Rock of Ages" and "The Amazing Spider-Man" -- which hits U.S. theaters Friday, June 15 and July 3, respectively -- seemed to do little harm to the films but failed to significantly elevate or transform their profiles, either.

MTV heavily touted a new trailer for "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," the high-school dramedy starring Logan Lerman and Emma Watson. Though Watson was ubiquitous at the show, the movie did not seem to emerge with a lot more awareness than it had coming in.

The awards were also marked by who wasn't there: some of the biggest stars and winners, including "The Hunger Games" pinup Jennifer Lawrence, "Harry Potter" heartthrob Daniel Radcliffe and "Twilight" megastar Rob Pattinson, prompting Kristen Stewart to (attempt to) make out with herself while accepting a "Best Kiss" prize.

Tiger Woods Chip Shot On 16th Hole At Memorial Propels Him To Win (VIDEO)

Tiger Woods was at his best Sunday at the Memorial. He hit nearly every shot just the way he wanted, worked the gallery into a frenzy with one last charge over the final hour and left everyone buzzing – especially Jack Nicklaus – with a shot they will talk about for years.

Better yet was the timing of his 73rd win.

Woods tied Nicklaus for career PGA Tour victories at the tournament that Jack built. And the 14-time major champion suddenly looks equipped to resume his chase of another Nicklaus mark that is more significant – 18 major championships.

The U.S. Open starts in 11 days.

With a chip-in that even Woods called one of the toughest shots he ever made, he birdied three of his last four holes to close with a 5-under 67 and turn a two-shot deficit into a two-shot victory over Rory Sabbatini and fast-closing Andres Romero.

Coming off a two-putt birdie on the 15th, Woods hit 8-iron over the green at the par-3 16th and into an impossible lie. It was buried in deep rough, the pin 50 feet away along a ridge. Woods hit a full flop shot, hopeful to give himself a reasonable putt for par. Far more likely was the ball going short and down a slope away from the pin, or coming out too strong and rolling into the water.

No one was thinking birdie, not even Woods, until he took two steps and delivered an uppercut when the ball fell in the right side of the cup.

Nicklaus was gushing from the broadcast booth. "The most unbelievable, gutsy shot I've ever seen," he said.

"Under the circumstances – the circumstances being Tiger has been struggling – it was either fish or cut bait," Nicklaus said later. "He had one place to land the ball. He's playing a shot that if he leaves it short, he's going to leave himself again a very difficult shot. If he hits it long, he's going to probably lose the tournament. He lands the ball exactly where it has to land. Going in the hole was a bonus. But what a shot!

Jeremy Scahill Says Obama Strikes In Yemen Constitute 'Murder

Journalist Calls Obama's Drone Strikes 'Murder'
During his appearance on MSNBC's "Up With Chris Hayes" Saturday morning, Scahill repeatedly said that such attacks, when they killed innocent civilians, amounted to "murder."

Asked by Hayes why he would use such a "loaded" word to describe the strikes, Scahill responded at length.

"If someone goes into a shopping mall in pursuit of one of their enemies and opens fire on a crowd of people and guns down a bunch of innocent people in a shopping mall, they've murdered those people. When the Obama administration sets a policy where patterns of life are enough of a green light to drop missiles on people or to send in AC130s to spray them down..."

"But that wasn't the case here," interrupted retired colonel Jack Jacobs. "You're talking about a targeted person here." Scahill continued:

Scahill is the national security correspondent for The Nation, and the author of the book "Blackwater: The World's Most Powerful Mercenary Army."

He was part of a panel discussion that centered around a lengthy New York Times article published on Tuesday, which disclosed that the Obama administration maintains a "kill list" of wanted terrorists. Obama personally signs off on the killing-by-drone of many suspects, taking into account the circumstances of a possible attack, including possible civilian casualties.

Face-Chewing 911 Call Reveals Fight

Several people called 911 after witnessing events related to the vicious attack of a 65-year-old homeless man whose face was mostly chewed off along a busy Miami highway, according to recordings released Friday by authorities.

Callers only reported seeing two men fighting in the shadow of The Miami Herald headquarters but did not mention seeing Ronald Poppo's face being chewed.

Surveillance video shows Rudy Eugene, 31, attacking Poppo alongside the highway last Saturday afternoon. A police officer fatally shot Eugene during the attack. Police have not released a motive for the attack.

"He's going to kill that man, I promise you," a female bus driver said, urging a 911 operator to send help. Poppo remains hospitalized.

The driver, who wasn't named by authorities, described the scene as she drove by.

"Listen, there is a naked man on the MacArthur Causeway," she said. "He is beating another man to a pulp – like on top of the man, beating him, the man is bleeding."

Another caller said the two men were fighting, saying they nearly knocked over an elderly bicyclist.

"These two bums were going at it with each other, taking up the whole lane," the caller said. "I think they were fighting or something."

The unidentified man gave his phone number to the 911 operator. He declined to comment when contacted Friday evening by The Associated Press.

A second male caller didn't mention the fight, instead reporting that he saw a man taking off his clothes and throwing them into traffic.

(Video) Johan Santana No-Hitter : Mets Pitcher Throws First No-Hit Game

Johan Santana has thrown the first no-hitter in the history of the New York Mets. The 33-year-old ace of the Mets' staff went the distance against the visiting St. Louis Cardinals at Citi Field without surrendering a hit in an 8-0 win.

Through eight innings, Santana had thrown 122 pitches while striking out seven and walking five. He faced the heart of the Cardinals' order in the top of the ninth, retiring Matt Holiday, Allen Craig and David Freese to make history in Queens. All told, he threw 134 pitches. The final pitch of the game was yet another signature change-up from the two-time Cy Young winner that Freese swung over.

Speaking with Kevin Burkhardt of SNY on the field after the final out, the first word uttered by Santana was "amazing." For a franchise described lovingly as "Amazin" even if the results were intermittently anything but, it was a choice of words as spot on as his final pitch.

"Amazing. I mean, coming in to this season, I was just hoping to come back. You know? And [to] stay healthy and help this team. And now, I'm in this situation in the greatest city for baseball," said Santana before addressing the fans at Citi Field. "I'm very happy and happy for you guys. Finally! The first one!."

Asked about the final strikeout, Santana said it was "the greatest feeling ever."

There were tens of thousands of fans in Queens and potentially millions more at home (and on Twitter) who felt the same way. The franchise had previously played 8,019 games -- stretching back to April 11, 1962 when Casey Stengel gave the ball to Roger Craig for the first game in club history -- without adding a no-no to its resume.

Entering the season, Santana's future was uncertain. Before the team's season opener, Santana had not appeared since Sept. 2010 and had undergone serious shoulder surgery.

Mike Elk, Labor Reporter, Has Microphone Yanked Out Of His Hands For Questioning CEO (VIDEO)

Mike Elk
A labor reporter found his microphone ripped out of his hand on Thursday when he asked a major CEO about his company's business practices.

Mike Elk, who writes for In These Times magazine, was attending a forum on Capitol Hill where David Cote, the CEO of Honeywell, was taking questions. Cote has close ties to the Obama administration, and President Obama is appearing at a Honeywell plant on Friday. At this forum, however, he was the guest of a Republican congressman.

During the question-and-answer portion, Elk (who used to blog for The Huffington Post) stood up and began asking Cote about anti-union practices within the company, as well as a recent radioactive gas leak at one of his plants. A videographer for Republic Report filmed what happened next.

As he continued his question, though, a man in a suit kept trying to lunge for his microphone. Eventually, he yanked it out of Elk's hands.

"I'm a member of the press!" Elk said. "I've never been treated like that in Washington."

"Show your press credentials," a woman asked. "They're right here," Elk said.

"That's not a member of the press from the Hill," the woman said. Security then moved in on Elk. "You have no right to touch me!" he said to them.
Speaking to HuffPost's Ryan Grim after the incident, Elk said that he was then pushed by security when he tried to approach Coate outside the event.

"I chased him out the back door, to a fire exit," said. "They wouldn't let me through. I go around to another door and see the Honeywell CEO running away from me. A Honeywell guy pushes me back from the door. I'm like, hey man, you can't block a fire exit. I start yelling back at him, telling him I'm going to call the police."

Usain Bolt Runs Season's Best 100 Meter Time At Rome Meet (VIDEO)

World record-holder Usain Bolt put his poor performance in the Czech Republic behind him with a season's best 9.76 seconds in the 100-meter race at the Golden Gala on Thursday.

Bolt ran a relatively slow 10.04 in Ostrava last week, raising questions about his Olympic preparations.

His previous world's best of 9.82 was set at home in Jamaica this month.

"My drive was better and I started well," Bolt said. "The transition was also better. After Ostrava a lot of people questioned me, but I never questioned myself.

"Everyone has a bad race, you just got to go back to the drawing board."

While his start in Rome still wasn't exceptional, Bolt quickly pulled in front and broke the previous meet record of 9.77 set by Tyson Gay three years ago.

Former world record-holder Asafa Powell crossed second in 9.91 and European champion Christophe Lemaitre was third in 10.04.
Bolt attributed his problems in Ostrava to fatigue for his first race of the season in Europe. This time, he appeared energized even two hours before his race, when he warmed up the crowd with a lap around the track on a golf cart, wearing the shirt of Italy's football team as he danced and posed for the cameras.

The crowd of nearly 60,000 cheered Bolt's every move.

"I appreciate a great crowd, they gave me a lot of love," Bolt said. "I feed off the crowd, so that was good."

When he came back out to run, Bolt chatted with the race worker behind his lane before he stepped into the starting blocks. After the race, he grabbed an Italian flag as he celebrated with another lap around the track that hosted the 1960 Olympics.

Maryland student, 21, admits eating housemate's heart, part of brain

Alexander Kinyua, left, is suspected of killing and then eating the heart and brain of Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, right.
Alexander Kinyua, 21, was being held without bail Thursday at the Harford County Detention Center after being charged with first-degree murder, first-degree assault and second-degree assault.
His roommate, Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, had left his Joppatowne home six days earlier for an apparent early morning jog. Wearing a T-shirt and shorts, he left his wallet, cell phone and identification at home.
On Tuesday, Antony Kinyua -- Alexander Kinyua's father -- called a Harford County detective assigned to the missing person's case and told him about his other son's gruesome discovery.
According to the charging document, the other son explained to the detective how he had come across two metal tins covered by a blanket in the basement laundry room of Agyei-Kodie's Joppatowne residence. He opened the tins and found the head and hands.
The brother said he "confronted (Alexander Kinyua), who denied the remains were human," then went upstairs to get his father, the detective said in the charging document. When the father and son returned to the basement, "the items he observed were gone and ... Alex Kinyua was cleaning the container he observed them in."
Two Harford County detectives later arrived on the scene and discovered the head and hands on the home's main floor.
"He admitted to killing our missing person, Mr. Kodie, and cutting him up with a knife," Harford County Sheriff Jesse Bane told reporters Thursday. "He further stated that he consumed Mr. Kodie's internal organs -- specifically his heart and portions of his brain."
The suspect told detectives to go to the parking lot of the nearby Town Baptist Church, where they could -- and did -- find the rest of Agyei-Kodie's remains in a dumpster.
The missing person's report filed Saturday described the 37-year-old Agyei-Kodie as "very intelligent." He had earned multiple master's degrees from schools in Ghana and was also a graduate student at Morgan State University, even though he wasn't taking classes there at the time of his death.
Kinyua was affiliated with the same state university in Baltimore. The engineering student was one of 175 people showcased in an August 2011 symposium run by the prestigious Los Alamos National Laboratory. His study focused on the cost-effectiveness and productivity of "comfort control" systems regulating heating, ventilation and air conditioning.

Watch Video - Naked Man Eating face off victim killed by Miami police

A man w as shot to death by Miami police, and another man is fighting for his life after his face was half eaten by a naked man, police said.

The horror began about 2 p.m. Saturday when of gunshots were heard on an off-ramp of the MacArthur Causeway.

According to police sources, a roadside-assistance truck driver saw a naked man chewing on another man’s face and shouted on his loudspeaker for him to back away. A woman also saw the incident and flagged down a police officer.

The officer, who has not been identified, approached and, seeing what was happening, also ordered the naked man to back away. When he continued the assault, the officer shot him, police sources said. The attacker did not stop after being shot and the officer continued to shoot, killing the naked man.

The other man was transported to the hospital with critical injuries, according to police. Their identities were not released.

In a text message, Javier Ortiz, spokesman for Miami police’s Fraternal Order of Police, said the officer who fired the fatal shots was "a hero."

"Based on the information provided, our Miami police officer is a hero and saved a life,” he said.

Sergeant Altarr Williams, supervisor of Miami police’s Homicide Unit, said a man doesn’t have to be armed to be dangerous.

"There are other ways to injure people,” Williams said. "Some people know martial arts, others are very strong and can kill you with their hands.”

Investigators believe the victim may have been homeless and was on the ground when the crazed man pounced.
