WATCH: Diners Assaulted In Alleged Anti-Gay Hate Crime

Ohio authorities are continuing to investigate an alleged hate crime at a Columbus-based Waffle House restaurant which left two patrons injured.

As NBC4 is reporting, one of the victims was knocked unconscious, while the other sustained broken facial bones, during the April 26 attack. Police said that the attackers, identified only as two other patrons, yelled gay slurs at both victims during the assault.

Gloria McCauley, executive director of the Buckeye Region Anti-Violence Organization, was quoted by The Advocate as telling local media that such antigay attacks are common, even in a relatively progressive city like Columbus.

Suspect No. 1 is a white male who is between 30 to 35 years old. He is 6 feet tall and weighs about 250 pounds. He has a shaved head and tattoos on his upper arms. He had on a white T-shirt, black athletic shorts and black tennis shoes.
Suspect No. 2 is a white male who is between 30 to 35 years old. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 290 pounds. He has a shaved head, too. He had on an oversized black T-shirt, long gray shorts, and black and white leather athletic shoes.
